ASSISTANT MANAGER – PROCUREMENT (KELANIYA)

The Company is looking for an energetic person who will

Key Responsibilities  

  • Buying commodities (local and international) using best practices
  • Buying various engineering items and capital items locally and internationally
  • Ensuring inventory levels are within norms
  • Developing high quality local vendor base
  • Continuously improve procurement systems and practices

Essential Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement in a system-driven corporate setup
  • Experience in tyre/ similar industry where rotary equipment are part of the major machinery buy is essential
  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering or equivalent professional qualification
  • Knowledge in banking, import & export regulations, custom regulations is essential
  • High level of computer literacy in MS Office packages (knowledge of SAP is a plus point)
  • Very good knowledge about local industry and commercial environment.
